Tater Tot Casserole Recipe!

Quick and easy to prepare, the basis of this recipe is ground beef and Tater Tots, a type of potato croquette. Tater Tot Casserole is one of the most popular dishes that can be prepared in a single pan and it is also economical because with just one casserole you can cook two meals for four people.

Ingredients (4 pax.)

  • 0,9 lb. of ground beef from organic beef.
  • 1/2 onion, diced.
  • 2 cloves of garlic.
  • Extra virgin olive oil.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.
  • 0,6 lb. of drained green beans.
  • 10,5 fl oz. of cream of mushroom soup.
  • 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese.
  • 3 cups of frozen tater tots.
  • Salt and pepper.

Elaboration:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 374 ºF.
  2. Grease a baking dish which will be used to assemble our casserole. Set aside.
  3. Then brown the meat in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions to the pan and sauté until translucent. Add the garlic, stirring the mixture.
  4. At this point, add the Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Place the first layer of the casserole, evenly distributing all the meat in the baking dish.
  6. Next, cover with a layer of cream of mushroom soup, followed by green beans. Season.
  7. Add the cheddar cheese and then add the tater tots with another layer of cheese.
  8. Bake for about 40 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
