American pecan pie recipe!

Pecan pie is one of the classic american cakes that is prepared on special dates and holidays. However, it is increasingly common to cook this delicious dessert on any season. Surprise your family this weekend with tasty and yummy American Pecan Pie!

Ingredients (4 pax.)

For the base

For the filling

  • 0,4 lb. of pecan nuts.
  • 4 eggs.
  • 6,7 fl.oz of maple syrup.
  • 0,1 of butter.
  • 0,2 oz. of brown sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Elaboration

  1. To prepare the dough of our pecan pie, we will mix all the ingredients until we obtain a smooth dough ball. Let cool one hour.
  2. Once it has settled, we will work the dough with a rolling pin. Once flattened, we will place it in the baking dish. We’ll let it cool.
  3. We will pre-heat the oven at 374 °F.
  4. In a bowl, we will mix the butter, sugar, eggs, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Then we will add the chopped nuts.
  5. We will pour the filling on the dough placed in the mold and we will place some decorative nuts.
  6. We will bake about 40 minutes at 356º C. We will cover with kitchen paper the last 10 minutes to avoid that the cake of pecan nuts is overcooked.
