Recipe for a healthy snack with homemade hummus and bread with feta cheese!

It’s the weekend, time to relax and have fun with your family. Stop being in a rush for a few days and enjoy natural flavors by preparing a light dish ideal as a breakfast or afternoon snack with our homemade hummus and bread with feta cheese.














Ingredients (4 pax.)

For the bread:

  • 1 packet of yeast.
  • 2 cups of warm water.
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar.
  • 1 tablespoon of salt.
  • 2 tablespoons of Goya Puro olive oil.
  • 3 lb. of strong flour.

For the hummus:

  • 2+1/2 cups of cooked chickpeas.
  • 3 tablespoons of Único extra virgin olive oil.
  • 2 cloves of garlic.
  • A dash of lemon juice.
  • ½ teaspoon of cumin.
  • Salt to taste and sweet paprika for decoration.


  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Add the sugar, salt, oil and half the flour. Beat until smooth.
  2. Next, add the remaining flour until a soft dough is formed.
  3. Knead for 10 minutes until soft and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased container. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size.
  5. Divide the dough into pieces and shape the two breads. Cover again and leave to rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake at 376°F for 30-35 minutes or until golden, and sounding hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  7. Once cooled, cut into slices and serve with chunks of feta cheese and our homemade hummus, prepared as follows:
  8. Blend the chickpeas, peeled garlic, salt and cumin. Next, add the lemon juice and olive oil.
  9. Continue blending until obtaining a paste with a creamy texture.
  10. Serve the hummus in bowls, adding pine nuts, walnuts or almonds, a dash of olive oil and paprika.
